RPM Manager, Dave Gillis
Dave was hired in February of 2018 to lead the RPM team
and grow Manitoba's Trucking Industry Based Safety Program. With
over 30 years’ experience in the Transportation industry and a vast knowledge
of Occupational Health and Safety, Dave most recently directed a Safety
Management System for a medevac company headquartered in Winnipeg and operating in Northern Manitoba and across Nunavut. Dave was instrumental in guiding this firm to the regional equivelant of SAFE Work Certified and he's likewise excited for the opportunity to have Manitoba's trucking industry benefit from the incentives that come with SAFE Work Certified, including lower WCB premiums and rebates.
Safety Program Advisor, Stacey Wills
Stacey is a graduate of the Occupational Health and Safety certification program at Red River College who finished with honors and received an award that was voted on by fellow students. Previously employed in a hospitality industry management role for 12 years, Stacey thrives in a class room setting and enjoys being able to provide training and development to the trucking industry. In her spare time Stacey enjoys playing recreational sports and the company of her family and friends.
Safey Program Coordinator, Michael Thiessen
Coming from a program coordinator role in the healthcare industry, Michael is an honors graduate of Red River College's Occupational Health and Safety certification program where he received the Minerva scholarship award. Michael made the move to RPM, Trucking Industry Safety where, as a Safe Work Certified auditor, he has worked with companies of all sizes, preparing them for the certification process. His free time is spent with friends and family, and especially his new baby.
Training Specialist, Rebekka Miles
Passionate about training and developing people, Rebekka has over 20 years experience in sales, marketing, managing, training in many industries including financial, legal, and the health and wellness sector. For the past eight years Rebekka has worked as a Safety Manager, Auditor and Trainer and is excited to bring this expertise to Manitoba's trucking industry. A multilingualist, speaking 4 languages, Rebekka loves learning about different cultures. In her spare time she also mentors young women (existing and new Canadians) to promote confidence and hope for the future.
Safety Program Administrator, Blake Henderson
Blake recently graduated with honors from the Occupational Health and Safety certification program at Red River College. Coming from a background in manufacturing he is looking forward to growing his career in the trucking industry. In the summer months Blake can often be found cruising the city or at car shows with his 1968 El Camino.
